I've spent 20+ years on both sides of this problem

Leading teams. Watching new managers struggle through the same transition with too little support. And building the programme I wish had existed.

A woman with curly blonde hair smiling, wearing a striped blue and white shirt, sitting on a dark green chair against a plain light-colored wall.

I know what it feels like to be the person who was brilliant at the job and then handed a team with no real preparation. I've been that manager—exhausted, isolated, applying the wrong skills to the wrong problem and wondering what I was missing.

And I've spent more than a decade as a facilitator watching it happen to others. Smart, capable people struggling through the same transition, making the same avoidable mistakes, building habits that would follow them for years.

That's why SHIFT exists. Not as a theory of leadership. As the practical, honest support I wish someone had given me.

I didn't set out to build a leadership company.
I set out to fix something that was broken.

I spent more than two decades in organizations: leading teams, managing people, navigating the gap between what's expected of a leader and what they're actually equipped to do. I was promoted, underprepared, and left to figure it out.

Sound familiar?

What I discovered is that leadership is a learnable skill. And the people who get intentional about building it early are the ones who become the leaders their organizations can't afford to lose.

I also discovered that most leadership training doesn't teach that skill. It teaches inspiration, fills a binder, delivers a framework, and sends you back to your team on Monday with a head full of ideas and no idea how to use them.

So I built something different. SHIFT is the programme I wish had existed. Practical, honest, grounded in what actually changes behaviour. Not theory, but real work, applied to real teams, with real follow-through.

We don't just teach leadership.
We stand beside you while you practice it.

Most leadership training looks good on paper then disappears. At Hassall & Co., we combine practical, tactical frameworks with real-world coaching, working through your actual situations.

And because we have no seat at your table and no agenda beyond your growth, you get something rare: a completely unbiased sounding board who tells you the truth.
